We have reached a part of the year when health becomes a real issue. Spring is beginning and your body needs a clean out from the winter blues. I have put together this daily menu of smoothies to inspire you to take a smoothie rather than a snack and to improve and spring clean your body chasing out the Winter Blues
- 2 bananas
- 2 cups of coconut water
- 1 banana
- 1 large mango
- 1 cups orange juice
- 1 banana
- 1 cup of cherries
- 1 ½ cups of almond milk
- 5 drops of stevia
Each smoothie takes about 5 minutes to make. Serves 2.
Put all the ingredients in a blender.
blend until smooth.
Pour into glasses and serve.

- The breakfast smoothie is rich in dietary fibre, hydrating and filling.
- When choosing bananas for the smoothie, pick the ones with spots. When bananas ripen the starch turns into glucose. It is better than sugar to make the smoothie sweeter.
- The afternoon smoothie contains melatonin, magnesium, and tryptophan which will have a calming effect on one’s brain and body. This helps in getting a better nap or sleep.
- Use frozen fruits to make a ready-chilled smoothie.
